When starting this series of work, I wanted to explore the possibilities of additives on my ceramic pieces. I’ve always been drawn to flowers and their unique beauty. Flowers are used in so many aspects of our lives, from birthdays to weddings to funerals, to textiles and design, and simply in nature. I wanted to more deeply explore how flowers represent connection and relation to one another and our environment.
